A detailed rendering of the
Genesis account of the Seven Days of Creation for a wall of windows forming
the right side of the church's nave. In the first and second windows,
the spirit of God hovers above churning oceans. In the third and
fourth windows, life erupts in a super-abundance of identifiable vegetation
and in myriad creatures of the air, water, and earth, culminating in the
upper right with the creation of Man and Woman. The windows face a companion
set on the opposite wall that presents Resurrection as the Eighth Day of
Creation, thus inviting worshipers to contemplate their participation in
the continuing story of creation.
